The “EUCC- Die Küsten Union Deutschland e.V.” is the German branch of the international EUCC organization. Their main objective is to strengthen German activities within the field of Integrated Coastal Zone Management (ICZM) by bridging the gap between coastal science and practice. EUCC-Germany provides relevant information, consults and educates coastal practitioners, hosts workshops and conferences and runs demonstration projects.
The German EUCC website is a good source of information about projects, conferences or activities in the field of ICZM. We strongly recommend to subscribe to the “Küsten Newsletter”, which provides updated information about developments in the field of coastal management (mostly in German).

With the beginning of winter term 2009/2010, four new students have begun their studies in the WCM master programme. All of them are very committed and motivated, so that we are sure that they will be successful with their studies. Again, we have students with very different backgrounds, which will surely be a benefit if all of them bring in their individual knowledge and skills.
